If you can do any type of sales, 
including virtual sales, you've got a guaranteed work at home job if you want one, and you can practically write your own paycheck.
Work at home sales jobs are plentiful and diverse. In a sales job you can enjoy a fabulous work at home lifestyle. You can usually work as much, or as little, as you want, and in many cases, determine your own paycheck since most sales jobs pay based on performance.
And if you're shuddering at the thought of pressuring someone to do something they don't want, stop shuddering. Not all home-based sales jobs involve high pressure! Many don't even involve outbound sales activity, but rather, inbound. Others have sales processes that involve giving something away free or offering a trial product or service.
Since most sales jobs are paid based on performance, home-based sales is an excellent field to consider if you have little training or experience to offer.
One tip: Do a little homework to make sure your new employer can be expected to actually pay you for your results. As soon as you're hired, do some chatting with other sales people in the same company and ask how long they've worked there and whether or not they also work on commission. Some unscrupulous companies -- including those that hire traditional sales people and those that hire virtual sales people -- are sleazy from the top to the bottom and just don't pay fairly. Keep good records and track your pay, but don't let the bad actions of a few stop your chances of working at home!
