Writing For Cash... From Home.
by Stephanie Watson for Work-at-Home.org
There are many places where you can find writing jobs that will pay real cash money and allow you to work at home. These sites are of varying quality and value. It is important to read all the fine print of any site that you choose to write for so that you aren't surprised at the outcome.
There are content mills that will pay you a very small token amount for your article that they will then own all rights to. Your name may not even appear on the article, in fact, some else's name might appear on it. For $3.00 to $15.00 they will own it and you will not be able to reuse it, claim authorship or even in most cases, rewrite it to use elsewhere.
Some websites will not pay you in cash, and instead offer training in place of payment for your articles that you will retain all rights to, but allow them to use for a specific period of time. Yet, other websites will pay you based on page views, or a combination of page views, cash, and other benefits. More websites will run your article in exchange for your byline which can be a way to get visitors to your site. This can be called Article Marketing.
Another option if you wish to work at home as a writer is to create your own articles and sell them on your own website as private label rights (PLR) articles to people who need content.
You have to decide for yourself how you will sell your writing. No matter what you decide you can make money at home writing. If you work at home or want to work at home you can write for cash easily and frequently. Many people make over $2000.00 a month writing for cash from the comfort of their home.
In order to work at home writing for cash, you will need a few things to get started.
Get or Make a Website
It is important that you have a place to show samples of your work to potential buyers of your writing. Even if you're a beginner, it is easy to set up your own web site with companies that offer tons of assistance, such as SiteSell.com. Once your site is set up you can promote your articles, communicate with potential customers and even accept orders at your website while you're asleep or doing something else.
If you choose to sell your own private label rights (PLR) articles, you can make a shopping cart on your site and start marketing - via article marketing, your PLR.
Check the laws in your area
Find out if your home is zoned for home business and if need a business license. This way you can be legitimate. You can call your local chamber of commerce for information too.
Get an Employer Identification Number (EIN) -
If you work at home you should consider getting an EIN. While the name is confusing, you do not have to hire others to get an EIN. You can get your EIN free immediately from http://www.irs.gov.

Write from home
Even before you start getting jobs, you can write articles that are in demand and be prepared when someone calls on you to write for cash. As a work a home writer, you should keep your skills up by continuously writing and getting feedback on your writing. Many communities have writing clubs you can join at no or little cost. You can do your own exercises by writing answers to questions like: “What does the color purple taste like?” You can find things to write by going to work at home bulletin boards and trying to write articles that answer questions people are asking.
Even if you have no buyers you can put your writing up at Associated Content on a page view basis. Anyone can do it, and no one is rejected for that gig.
Collect your cash
Once you start writing, it might take a couple of weeks to start collecting money on a regular basis. But eventually you will build up a resume as an Internet Content Provider and you might even start submitting to print publications once you learn the writing ropes.
One final note. Always submit your own writing. Do not use PLR (Private Label Rights) to submit for pay. Do not use other people's words. Do not steal others content. It's wrong. You can earn a decent amount of money on the internet working from home writing for cash if you just apply yourself and work a little bit each and every day.
